This is such a fabulous volunteer opportunity!!
You spend one hour a week. It is very flexible, no set days. You go when it is convenient for you.
Let me share my last visit at Oakwood. It was with a lady who truly wants a volunteer! She lives in the Memory Care section of the community (building). She has the most amazing smile!!! She has Alzheimer's so her stories are confused but she sure loves to tell them anyway! She loves holding hands or if you simply rub her head. She is such a sweet lady.
Isn't that a great way to volunteer, give back, make a friend?
We also have locations in Beavercreek, Kettering and Fairborn.
Please consider Brookdale Hospice. We do require fingerprints and urine drug screen; but we pay for everything! It's really not a hard process.
