With wide-ranging opportunities to use your expertise, skills, talents and passions, you will be able to give back, improve the lives of our inner-city young adults and adults, and truly make a difference. SSA is seeking a part time volunteer Ballet Instructor for our San Antonio, TX campus (East Side S.A.), for 4 days (Tue or Thur 1-2pm) during the month of July 2018 for our Summer Dance Program. We seek an innovative, visionary Ballet Instructor experienced in teaching one or multiple techniques: Classical Ballet Technique (Balanchine or RAD) and or Contemporary Ballet Technique, with a passion for instilling, inspiring and nourishing ones' talents who believe in our mission to consciously, consistently and constantly cultivate, educate, explore, expose and invest. This is a volunteer position. The Volunteer Instructor will get reimbursement for any reasonable out of pocket expenses that he/ she incurs while performing SSA-related duties/ activities.

SOMEBODAE School of the Arts (SSA)
"SOMEBODAE" pronunciation is Some-bod-day.

SSA is a non-profit, scholarship base (tuition free) Performing and Visual Arts School (Theatre, Music, Dance, Art). The "Full Program" is open to individuals ages 14 to grown folks of our inner-cities, underserved communities across the U.S., with none to advance level training in the performing and visual arts where enrollment is per scholarship via audition. The "Short Program" is a lighter version of the Full Program yet open to the entire general public ages 13 to grown folks but with no audition or scholarship required and you DO NOT have to be a resident of an inner-city, underserved community.
In addition to preparing students for advanced study at the college level and professional careers in the Arts, students in the program learn the value and power of self-worth, personal discipline, innovative thinking, collaborative exploration, dedication, creativity, confidence, problem solving skills, perseverance, focus, communication, accountability and how artists are true instruments for powerful artistic expression.
