Job Overview:

Are you a business-savvy professional and a TED talk fan? The Sponsorship Manager would be a perfect role for you! This team member is responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships and sourcing sponsorships to satisfy event expenses.

Responsibilities:

• Educate sponsors on what it means to be a TEDx event sponsor.
• Target partners who share an affinity for the TEDx event theme.
• Ensure sponsorship is a value-add partnership that will ultimately benefit the attendees.
• Collaborate with the Event Organizer to develop sponsorship packages encompassing summary of TED’s history, event overview, tiers of sponsorship of different amounts), and a section for in-kind donations.
• Monthly Team Meetings
• Weekly Conference Calls

Qualifications:

• Prior experience managing sponsorships for large (300+ guests) special events.
• Possess a high-level of communication skills (both verbal and written) and professionalism.
• Superior time management skills, multi-tasking abilities, team playing skills.
• Experience in managing VIPs, C-level Executives and Celebrities.
• Active on social media.
• Familiar with TED talks.
• Must be located in the Chicagoland area
