Job Overview:

Are you a dynamic leader with an unmatched attention to detail? Interested in making an impact in the TED talk community? Here’s your chance! We want you to join our team as an Event Manager. You will work closely with our Event Organizer and Project Manager and serve as the point of contact with the venues’ staff, manage day-of-event task including production, on-site marketing, speaker accommodations, and registration.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the venue to create/revise room layout and seating arrangements.
• Lead all event planning and production meetings and discussions.
• Manage on-site production and clean up.
• Attend weekly conference calls.
• Monthly Team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Team Player. Believes there’s no 'I" in team.
• 3 + years prior experience coordinating large (300 + guest) special events.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism.
• Experience in managing VIPs, C-level Executives and celebrities.
• Must be located in the Chicagoland area
• Ability to attend weekly conference calls and monthly team meetings
