Amazing Things Arts Center located in Downtown Framingham MA has events almost nightly. The events include music, theater, a variety of open mics and comedy. We need volunteers to sell tickets at each event. We have a small staff of Box Office attendants but need to keep up with an ever growing calendar. Volunteers are asked to commit to 1-2 shows a month but are welcome to volunteer for more than that! We have our weekend feature shows on Friday and Saturdays as well as our open mics during the week.
We are looking for volunteers with experience in Salesforce and who are good with computers. We are willing to train the right volunteers who we feel can perform the duties of the box office attendant, but prior experience is a huge plus!
Volunteers are required to train with Amazing Things Staff prior to events.
A typical night for the box office attendant looks like this:
-Print Guest list of pre-sales for ushers
-Prep ushers guest list
-Sign in to salesforce and sell tickets in the system
-Handle cash, checks, and credit card sales
-Welcome guests and answer any questions they may have
-Direct pre-sale guests to the ushers to be seated
-Print sales report for the House Manager

Description
MUSIC: we host Open Mics in Jazz, Cabaret, Folk & Comedy to allow upcoming professionals as well as amateurs get their moment on stage. We also feature a variety of professionals on our weekend stage.
VISUAL ARTS: we host two galleries in the Firehouse and two satellite galleries in the community at our local Starbucks and Exhibit 'A' Brewery. We give regional artists a chance to show and sell their work and to highlight the talent here in Metrowest.
THEATER: We host 3-4 shows a year by Framingham Community Theater and other regional theater groups.
We need volunteers for our events including open mics, concerts, and theater. We sometimes need office help and help with community events like Metrofest, or Earth Day. Theres lots to do and its always a fun time!
