If you are looking for an opportunity to enrich the lives of others, we invite you to become an Ethos hospice volunteer. Volunteering for hospice can be one of the most emotionally and spiritually rewarding experiences in a person's life.
Volunteers are an invaluable member of our team that share their time and talents to enhance the quality of life for those living with a terminal illness. Volunteers fill the gap between loved ones and professional caregivers.
Want to work with our patients and families:
- Offer companionship visits that may include visiting, letter writing, playing games, reading and offering emotional support.
- Provide household chores, shopping assistance, meal preparation, childcare and yard work.
- Provide respite support by spending time with the patient to give the caregiver a break.
- Are you a licensed massage therapist? LMT's can offer the gift of touch to our patients.
- Want to work in our office? Assist with mailings, filing, data entry and other projects as needed in the hospice office.

Mission Statement
The mission of Ethos Home Care and Hospice is to enrich the quality of living for those we serve.
Description
Ethos was established in 2014 by Bethany Retirement Living (Fargo ND), Eventide Senior Living Communities (Moorhead, MN) and Knute Nelson (Alexandria, MN). Its vision is to provide personalized care and services to individuals in the Fargo-Moorhead area based on the community and resident needs. Each partner organization, on its own, is widely recognized for providing innovative services to aging adults throughout a continuum of care. Each partner possesses similar values and is committed to achieving the highest quality of care for their organizations.
Ethos Hospice care provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for people who have a life limiting illness as well as to their family system. Services are provided by a team of professionals including nurses, home health aides, chaplains, social workers, volunteers and grief specialists. Volunteers serve an important role in our mission and work with families to provide companionship, respite support, and household tasks. Volunteers are also used to assist with office projects as well. Volunteers are trained and are individually matched depending on their availability and interests.
Ethos hospice is accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). We are a non-profit organization.
