Looking for individuals to serve ice cream, coffee, various drinks and snacks as well as socialize with customers. **This is a volunteer opportunity, not a paid position.
IMMEDIATE NEED, TRAINING PROVIDED, LIMITED AND FLEXIBLE HOURS/DAYS.
Shifts available: Weekend coverage: Saturdays 1:15 to 3:30 pm; Sundays - 1:15 - 4:00 pm;
Weekday coverage: M, T, W, Th - 1:15 pm - 4:00 pm
Looking to Add: Friday afternoons or evenings from 6 - 8pm
Immediate need is for weekend coverage and 1 weekday. We encourage permanent commitments as well as summer/temporary coverage. Do you need Community Service/Volunteer hours? If you 16 or older, we can work with you to fulfill your hours for various organizations (high school, religious community, scouts, etc.). We, the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, as women of the Church inspired by Mother M. Angeline Teresa, respond with faith, courage and love to the healing ministry of Christ. Our philosophy is steeped in her words: "Our apostolate is not only to staff and operate up-to-date homes for the aged, but as religious, it is to bring Christ to every old person under our care. Bringing Christ means giving them His compassion, His interest, His loving care, His warmth - morning, noon and night. It means inspiring the lay people who work with us to give the same type of loving care." Our mission is reflected in the philosophy of care inherent in all policies and practices promulgated within the health care facility under our supervision, thereby charging the administration, boards of directors and medical staff with promoting the Christian mission of healing and care.
Description
The Villas at Saint Therese is a Catholic sponsored assisted living/independent living facility that opened in 1998. Since then, we have cared for hundreds of older adults who were in that 'gray area' - those not needing skilled nursing care , but in need of a safe, supportive home.
