Description

We are founded on the belief that quality hospice care can promote emotional and spiritual healing, and we are great believers in the power of presence and mindfulness, throughout one’s life and especially at its end.

Healing Care Hospice is seeking Hospice Volunteers to help make a difference in the lives of those living with a terminal illness.

Hospice Volunteers are a key component in the hospice care plan, because their sole function is to be a friend and companion to our patients who may be homebound or even bedbound. We welcome special talents or skills you may have such as

• singing
• writing
• story telling
• playing an instrument, etc.

Volunteers would receive full comprehensive training before being assigned a volunteer assignment. You would learn

• Hospice philosophy
• Caring for the terminally ill
• Grief and loss education
• Health & safety precautions

Volunteers can also perform a variety of tasks around the office. You would offer support by assisting with office tasks such as

• preparing patient information
• making phone calls
• assemble staff material packets, etc.

If you have a few free hours a week and a desire to do something nice for someone who will really appreciate you, we openly welcome you to join our team. Becoming a Healing Care Hospice volunteers could become very rewarding and fulfilling.
