Purpose: Catholic Charities partners with Singing Frogs Farm to make healthy, nutrient-dense produce more accessible to our clients and the community by serving as a pick up location for their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes. The HealthREADY nutrition volunteer will assist with all facets of weekly ordering and distribution of CSA boxes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet clients in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Take payment for CSA boxes via EBT machine, and log receipts on payment sheet.
• Order weekly CSA boxes via email with Singing Frogs Farm.
• Call and remind clients of their pick up dates and times.
• Prepare CSA boxes for pick-up.
• Assist nutrition educators in preparing materials needed for presentations.
• Assemble and disburse supplementary bags of food from our pantry to clients.
• Opportunity to assist with weekly cooking classes using produce from CSA boxes.

Qualifications:

• Must be friendly, reliable, and display good interpersonal skills.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Be comfortable with and respectful to the population we serve.

• Attention to detail.
• Follow program policies and procedures.
• Bilingual preferred but not necessary.
