Community Based Mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
El Paso County, Colorado

Volunteers are matched with a child (9 to 12 years old) in the community to be that kiddo's mentor, role model and friend.

Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same child two to four times each month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the mentors and the match relationship, providing support, counsel, and assistance.

Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to pass a background check.

This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (nationally) is best and most known for.

Presently, Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak is need of men to volunteer as mentors. We have several young kiddos enrolled as Little Brothers waiting to be matched with a Big Brother. Please consider volunteering today! Also, please spread the word! Any and all help with recruiting mentors would be greatly appreciated.

We are having a volunteer orientation on Tuesday, May 15th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at our downtown office in Colorado Springs. An orientation will provide a comprehensive overview of volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and it is the first step in enrolling as a mentor.
