Do you like to plan and host parties, organize dinner outings with friends, attend educational presentations, gather a group to attend a local show or visit a Bay Area museum? Walnut Creek Village is adding volunteers to our Events Committee. We invite you to join us.

Walnut Creek Village

Rather than a physical location where people live, our Village is a dynamic association of people helping one another much like typical communities of many years ago. We are a volunteer-run, membership-driven, grassroots, non-profit organization. As one of more than 200 established and 150 forming villages across the U.S., we provide what our members need to stay safely and comfortably in their homes while remaining involved in the local community.

Walnut Creek Village opened on September 25, 2017. We partner with other local Villages such as Lamorinda, and Clayton Valley, to pool resources for finding preferred providers, co-hosting events and exchanging operational information.

Our Services

Our members receive volunteer services like these: rides for medical appointments, grocery shopping, banking, errands, etc. Our volunteers help with basic home repairs, light gardening, computer support, and other tasks of daily living.

Socializing

We recognize the importance of social connections and community involvement for our members and offer a variety of events that are educational, entertaining, and just social. We are expanding our offerings for 2018 and adding volunteers to our Events Committee. As a committee member, you will engage with others on the team to plan a wide variety of events and ensure they run smoothly while enjoying them yourself.
