ORGANIZATION: Southern California Hospice Foundation

Angel Ambassador

Through our wish fulfillment program Angel Assistance , the Southern California Hospice Foundation is able to provide final wishes that our hospice patients request. These requests can be as simple as "i would like a book" , or " I would like someone to pray for me". Requests can also be more complex , like helping a hospice patient have their dream wedding, or organizing a family reunion.

This is where our Angel Ambassadors come in, our Ambassadors help facilitate these special moments. They deliver the requested book, they help organize a prayer group , they help with the set up the dream wedding. Each request is different, and our goal as an organization is to be able to provide as much happiness as we can in a short amount of time. Once the Ambassador is cleared ( Background Check and TB test approved) , the Ambassador will receive notifications regarding volunteer opportunities and the request involved.

  • Due to the nature of hospice, there is not a set schedule for these opportunities.
  • Volunteering opportunities can be found in the Orange County, Los Angeles County and Riverside County areas.
  • Ambassadors will receive the volunteer training manual ( that is given to our Hospice Volunteers) to provide them more context to what hospice and its philosophy entails.
