ORGANIZATION: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern California

It’s that time of year again! Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake is now accepting volunteers for their Lassen County Kids Week, July 16th-July 20th, 2023. Since 1992, Camp Ronald McDonald has been serving various organizations throughout the summer by offering a residential week-long summer camp at their Eagle Lake location. They typically serve campers with developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities. However, for one week out of the summer, they open their doors to the Lassen County community to say "Thank You!" for continuously supporting their cause.

Each summer, they invite children aged 8-12 from the Lassen County area to come out for a week of outdoor activities, arts and crafts, sports, drama, fishing, campfires, and other awesome camping activities. If you'd like to volunteer, please reach out to the Camp Director.

Mission Statement

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3), supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.

In 1998 the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House opened its doors providing a 'home away from home' for families who have children age 0-18 being treated in one of the five Sacramento-area hospitals; UC Davis Medical Center, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Mercy, Kaiser, and Sutter Medical Center. Since then, the 39-bedroom facility has provided affordable, temporary housing for approximately 20,000 families who have traveled from all across the United States as well as countries around the world in order to provide their child with the best medical treatment available.
