Are you interested in volunteering with wildlife in the park this summer? The monarch monitoring program is a citizen science project that tracks monarch populations from caterpillars to butterflies within the park. Please note that this program includes a training that would occur 30 minutes ahead of start time. A weekly commitment is appreciated but not mandatory.
Weekly June - August
Location: Coldwater Spring; other options may be available

The Volunteers-In-Parks program, jointly managed by Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and Mississippi Park Connection, connects, educates, and promotes the enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River through unique and entertaining volunteer opportunities to the entire community.
Description
The Volunteers-In-Parks program is a joint program with Mississippi Park Connection. Mississippi National River and Recreation Area represents America's greatest river, the Mississippi, which weaves together the natural and cultural heritage and economic vitality of the region. The National Park Service works with partners to foster increased citizen awareness, advocacy, and enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River.
Volunteer-In-Parks provides people with opportunities to discover, experience, and enjoy the diversity of the Mississippi River while also preserving it for future generations through volunteer restoration projects and education programs.
