We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:
Barn Help: Help with basic care and cleaning/ socializing and training minis - set days with another team member
Maintenance Days: Help with special projects like fencing or shelter repair - several times a year group effort
Meet and Greets: Help get the barn and horses ready to meet the public/ answer general questions, hand out fliers or man the booth during the event - several times a year, monthly dependent on weather
Special Events: Help prepare minis and materials for setting up at an offsite location/ meet the public and answer general questions - several times a year
Clerical: Help maintain the rescue website and/or facebook information/ help with maintaining records and files/ assist with thank you cards - as needed can be done off site

Mission Statement
To be a safety net for miniature horses, donkeys and mules that are at risk of being homeless or going to auction. To educate potential adopters and mini owners of the care and needs of these little equines. To educate the public about the plight of the unwanted horse.
Description
ETMHD rescue is made up of volunteers who want to make a big difference in the lives of these little equines. ETMHD wants to improve the quality of life for miniature horses, donkeys and mules. Through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming we work to get every mini healthy, physically and mentally, and find them an appropriate home.
Our goal is to help mini owners learn how to properly care for and to build a relationship with their mini and to be there for people who have had life changes that do not allow them to keep their minis. We do go to auction several times a year and pull to keep minis and donkeys out of the slaughter pipeline. We serve the community by being an alternative to auction for minis in need.
Our volunteers help with everything from basic care and cleaning, training, special events, web design and data entry.
