The Welcome Center at Neighbors is the point of entry for clients, potential volunteers, and community partners. Welcome Center volunteers provide a first impression of the organization and field incoming inquiries. They assist incoming clients and are the first step in a family’s process to receive services.
Key Activities:- Greet everyone who walks into the office
- Field questions in-person and over the phone; answer questions when appropriate and refer to the knowledgeable staff contact as needed
- Complete office tasks such as filing, photocopying and address verification
- Must be 18+
- Ability to treat everyone with respect, kindness and without judgement, and an adherence to client confidentiality
- Some experience with general office work and an ability to follow direction and multi-task
- Able to primarily sit for a few hours at a time
- A professional and welcoming attitude both in-person and on the phone
- Spanish language skills helpful, but not necessary
- Make an impact in your community with a team of dedicated volunteers and staff
- Use current skills and gain new ones; training and ongoing support provided
- Ongoing volunteers are invited to the annual volunteer appreciation event
- Mondays: 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- On-call, substitute positions are also available

Volunteers serve their neighbors in need through programs such as a food shelf, Clothes Closet thrift store, holiday assistance, and much more. At Neighbors, all donations and volunteer service directly supports the local community.
