International Women's Day
Volunteer with girl (now legal)

We are happy you are interested in coming to Ecuador to help the girls survivors of Human Trafficking in Dunamis. Here you'll need to be mentally and physically strong to be a caregiver for the girls.
You will be in charge of many things such as: photography, english classes, helping and learning in the tagua and sewing workshops, but most importantly, you will make an impact on a girl who has suffered from the evils of human trafficking while you learn about a new culture!

Mission Statement

Dunamis is a non-profit organization in Quito, Ecuador serving under aged girls who have been rescued from sex and labor trafficking. We aim to teach them life skills while providing a Christ-centered environment focused on restoration to enable them to reintegrate into the world as healthy young women.

Description

PROGRAM

Christ-centered devotions for 20 minutes with focus on specific topics applicable to the girls’ day to day life.
Two-hour workshops that include teaching how to make tagua jewelry, sewing or computer.
Lunch (sandwiches, snacks, beverages)
Reading Club one day a week.
The girls we serve come from a local government-supported group home where they stay for just a few months before being transferred to another group home. While they are staying at certain group homes that have an agreement with Dunamis, they attend Dunamis workshops and participate in our activities in a Christ centered environment.

It's a constuction project for anyone in the highlands 15 min outside of Quito in a town called Nono. This project consists on building an enclosure to assure the safety of the girls who are being protected by Dunamis.
