New Beginnings provides services to those whose lives have been affected by domestic violence - physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. Some who use our services are in physical danger. Others are living with controlling partners in relationships that are emotionally abusive. In this position, you will help to impact the lives of our transitional housing residents who have experienced domestic violence and are working towards healing:

  • Planting produce and flowers
  • Maintaining garden through regular weeding and watering of garden beds
  • Working with Home Safe staff or residents to deliver produce to residents
  • Working in collaboration with work groups and lead gardener on various large-scale projects
The residents in our transitional housing program are working to cultivate their own empowerment and self-determination while they are living with us, and for years after. Help us to make this transitional space a beautiful one for them, and to share with them the gifts that our garden can provide.
