Activities include:
- Learning about Tandem’s programs and the Early Childhood Education and Development sector
- Learning basic fundraising theory
- Learning how to conduct grant research
- Learning how to use tools such as Foundation Center’s database, Guidestar, reading Form 990s, Salesforce, and others
- Finding and vetting new grant prospects
- Writing outreach letters (also called Letter of Interest, or LOI)
- Practice writing grants
Requirements and Expectations:
- Be able to attend initial one hour in-person training at Tandem’s headquarters: 1275 Fairfax Avenue, Suite 201, San Francisco, CA 94124
- Be able to volunteer for 5 to 10 hours per month
- Commit to minimum of three months
- Access to a computer with Internet connection
- Familiarity with Google Sheets a plus (Tandem Google account will be provided)

Description
Corporate Volunteering: We have a corporate volunteer program that does one-off events at the company's office or our own.
Community Volunteering: We often need community volunteers to help build our Storyblocks kits we hand out at events, workshops, and in classrooms.
