The Project HEAL national social media team is seeking a high-level volunteer with marketing and communications experience to serve as a Social Media volunteer. This role reports directly to Project HEAL's Chief Communication Officer and National Social Media Manager and involves tasks (including but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with social media team to develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the social media space.
  • Implement and send out weekly social media plan for Chapters to follow.
  • Responsible for developing content across owned and earned social channels. This could include blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos, and videos.
  • Creates, manages and grows business presence across social media channels, including Twitter and Facebook.
  • Leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
The Social Media volunteer role requires a 1-year commitment and about 5-10 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in marketing and communications, as well as an interest and/or background in eating disorders.

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.

Description

Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.

We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
