We are looking for volunteers who are willing to take time and not only teach members how to play basketball but also be a mentor/parent figure in there lives. We are located in low-income community and our members need you not only to learn the fundamentals of basketball but learn how to grow into a responsible productive caring citizen. The times you are needed are after 4pm and can range from Monday through Friday 5pm-8pm depending on what age groups you get. Email and apply today to change lives! Description
Many children have no adult supervision after school. Studies have shown that the hours between 3 and 7 p.m. are the hours that most kids are likely to get involved with crimes, be victims of crime or engage in other risky behavior. The Clubs provide an alternative to the dangers of the streets. Moreover, the Clubs provide stimulating activities that help build character, self-esteem, values, and skills.
