Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley

Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley's Playhouse Program provides children in the community with a place to call their own while supporting our mission to provide families with affordable housing solutions. Local companies sponsor Build Days where volunteers fully construct life-size playhouses that are donated to families and local charities at the end of the build.

To effectively teach and facilitate larger builds, we need your help. Support Playhouse Builds by becoming a Playhouse Build Crew Leader!

As a crew leader you will support volunteers by teaching them the different tasks associated with building a Playhouse as well as assisting with set up and tear down.

How to become a Crew Leader:

  1. Sign up for Playhouse Prep ( http://eastbay.volunteerhub.com/) - During your volunteer Prep day let the Playhouse Staff know you are interested in becoming a Crew Leader.
  2. Attend a small Playhouse Build- Check in with Playhouse staff about an upcoming Playhouse Build. Volunteer at the build to help facilitate the build and learn about being a Crew Leader. Repeat as necessary until fully trained and set to help at a large build!
  3. Become a Crew Leader- You will be added to the Playhouse email list to receive updates about upcoming Playhouse Builds and events. Sign up to Crew Lead at Playhouse Builds!

For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a signed minor waiver form with them to the site. Minor waiver forms are available here: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2970065/2020%20Minor%20Waiver.pdf
