Homestead Hospice is looking for a volunteer who is available to sit with our patient while the patient's caregiver run errands once a week. The volunteer would also be needed on the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the morning so the caregiver can attend things with friends. This volunteer opportunities helps the caregiver to decompress and remain caring and motivated when caring for the patient which helps the patient in the longrun.
Activities with the patient could include, watching television together, reading, playing music, or talking with the patient.
Volunteers need a drug screening and tuberculosis skin test which Homestead Hospice provides at no cost at the convenience of the volunteer.
