Homestead Hospice is looking for a volunteer who is good with tools to assist patients whom live alone at home with their little tasks around the house. Tightening bolts and screws, putting up painting, fixing light bulbs, possibly gardening, etc. just household tasks they are no longer physically able to do.
Things that a 'Handyman volunteer' would not be doing: plumbing, electrical, construction, building, etc.
Volunteers may be asked to lift things up to 50 pounds.
Patients are located in private homes in the Phoenix metropolitan area, in the West Valley and in the East Valley.
Volunteers will need to complete a drug screening and tuberculosis skin test which are provided by Homestead hospice.
