Our rescue group is hosting an adoption fair at Phydeaux in Raleigh, NC and are in need of volunteers to help us make this event successful. We need people willing to hold the leash of one of our adoptable dogs during the event, making sure that they are safe, secure, and happy at all times. We will be wearing masks and socially distancing, so please be prepared to do the same.

Volunteers are needed to keep one of our adoptable dogs securely on leash during the event. Volunteers will need to make sure that the dogs are taken for potty breaks, water breaks, and showered with lots of extra love and attention! Volunteers will need to be proactive and helpful and provide constant attention to the animal that they are "in charge" of at the event. We will also need help with things such as filling water bowls if you notice they are empty, straightening up our area before leaving, and loading/unloading animals into vehicles, etc. (Our Director attends each event, but needs to have her hands free so that she can speak with potential adopters/finalize adoption paperwork, etc. It is imperative that we have volunteers who will keep the animals occupied and cared for while we handle administrative duties). Of course, lots of love and cuddles are strongly encouraged :)

The animals in our rescue have been saved from kill shelters and other not so good circumstances and are looking for the 2nd chance that they deserve. Adoption events are not only a wonderful opportunity for people to meet these animals in person, but it helps the animals with their confidence and socialization skills....and they really enjoy the extra love and attention that they get at these events!
