Volunteers assist with the set-up and breakdown of games and crafts.
The event will be from 10:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. on Sunday, April 29th, at the Montgomery-Waller Recreation Center and Community Park located at:
3020 Coronado Ave, San Diego, CA 92154
Volunteer shifts are from 8:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. and from 12:00p.m. to 4:30p.m. You can sign up for one shift or, if you plan on volunteering for the entire day, sign up for both shifts. We are also able to work with your schedule if you are unable to stay for an entire shift.
Please be prepared to volunteer outdoors. Take appropriate sun protection measures, and wear closed toe shoes and clothing that is comfortable to move around in.

Description
San Diego's Park and Recreation Department is responsible for overseeing nearly 40,000 acres of developed and undeveloped open space, more than 340 parks including Balboa Park, Mission Trails Regional Park, and Mission Bay Park; 25 miles of shoreline from Sunset Cliffs to La Jolla; 13 pools; 3 public golf complexes; 56 recreation centers and more. Park and recreation professionals and volunteers host hundreds of community events each year and provide safe places for thousands of children to go after school. City employees and volunteers take great pride to enrich the lives of others through quality parks and programs, designed and developed so that people of all ages, abilities and income levels have the chance to participate in excellent recreational opportunities.
