Homestead Hospice is looking for Yoga enthusiasts to share their passion with our terminal elderly patients to provide comfort and peace. The yoga movements that the patients can engage in are limited to a chair, but the idea behind yoga of deep breathing and stretching the soul is the important aspect to convey to patients.
This may be conducted with groups of patients up to ten.
Disclaimers:
- Patients are located all over the valley, Phoenix, Mesa, Goodyear, Surprise, Tempe, Chandler, Casa Grande and Buckeye.
- Volunteers are required to complete an orientation, a drug screening, and a tuberculosis skin test which Homestead Hospice provides at no costs, all requirements can be completed within one day at the convenience of the volunteers' schedule.
- Any minors must be accompanied by a guardian
