VITAS Healthcare is looking for Patient Care Volunteers to visit patients residing in their own homes and long- term care facilities in the Central West End area and St. Louis City. Volunteers are needed to visit patients at Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center located at 4960 Laclede Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108. During visits, volunteers read to patients, write letters for them, play music, games, share conversation and companionship. Comprehensive training, orientation and ongoing support for hospice volunteering is provided. Flexible times are available for volunteering according to your schedule and any time spent visiting patients is greatly appreciated.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
