As part of the Red Cross Sound The Alarm event, you will volunteer along side our Azle Fire Department firefighters as we visit residents in their homes to conduct fire safety education and install smoke alarms in homes that need them. The Sound the Alarm campaign focuses on increasing the use of smoke alarms in at-risk neighborhoods and encourages everyone to practice their fire escape plans.

For this year's event, we will be visiting residents in the Azle area on May 12th from 10:00-12:30 to install smoke alarms and deliver fire safety education.

Across the country, the Red Cross has already been credited with saving a number of lives. Hundreds of thousands of smoke alarms have been installed in homes in more than 4,100 cities and towns across the United States. We look forward to contributing to this massive effort in saving lives. This project will help make our community safer and better prepared to deal with home fires.
