ORGANIZATION: American Cancer Society

  • 4 people are interested

Cancer Resource Centers provide information about cancer, treatment, and services to patients, caregivers and the general public. As a lead and trainer volunteer, you would help train new CRC volunteers on site and be the main point of contact for that location. You would also provide information to patients as well as connect patients with assistance and support. This gives you a chance to work directly with people in your community and to serve in a leadership capacity. The lead volunteer would need to be available for a couple of hours one day a week and plan trainings as needed for new CRC volunteers three times a year.

This person may need to occasionally come to the Phoenix ACS office, but will mostly be onsite.

Requirements:

  • Be available for a minimum of 2 hours one day a week
  • Complete about 1 hour of training which is available online
  • Complete onsite CRC training
  • Complete additional onsite training to become a lead volunteer and trainer
