ORGANIZATION: Elder Wisdom Circle

We have an intern opportunity for a current student or recent grad looking to build their professional resume. Our opportunity is 10-15 hours per week for about six months.

The selected candidate will work on branding, marketing and social media projects to grow the online presence of two national non-profit organizations. The ideal candidate will have strong social media skills and must be proficient in WordPress. Exposure to Google AdWords is a plus.

Description

We are a web-based nonprofit service organization that pairs online advice seekers in their teens, 20's and 30's with a nationwide network of Cyber-Grandparents, aged 55 to 105, who share their hard-earned knowledge and wisdom. Our Elder members participate individually from their home computers or in groups at retirement communities (with the help of a facilitator). Anyone with access to the Internet can request anonymous advice on any topic and will receive a personalized e-mail response in return. The voice of experience is hip, sincere, and highly sought after by people of all ages; we are the most popular source of free online advice in the country. The Elder Wisdom Circle has been featured on ABC, CBS, BBC, NPR, and in many publications including USA Today and Time.
