Volunteer with Uhuru Foods & Pies this spring, summer and/or fall to us prep, cook and serve our African comfort food at Maker Faire, Pride Parade, and Art & Soul and baking and selling Uhuru Pies! This is will not only be fun, but you will help support Black Power Blueprint which is literally building economic power in African communities which will help end police violence and gentrification by purchasing buildings and renovating them with community support. See below for the programs supported by Uhuru Foods & Pies.

Saturday and Sunday, May 19th & 20th
Maker Faire at the San Mateo Event Center
prepping, cooking & selling African comfort food
1 to 7 pm
Need a total of 10 volunteers each day
Saturday and Sunday, June 23rd & 24th
SF PRIDE in San Francisco Civic Center Area
prepping, cooking & selling African comfort food
9 am to 3 pm or 1 to 7 pm
Need a total of 10 volunteers each day
Saturday and Sunday, July 28th & 29th
Art & Soul in Downtown Oakland
prepping, cooking & selling African comfort food
9 am to 3 pm or 1 pm to 7 pm
Need a total of 10 volunteers each day
And in the Fall:
November 17, 20, 21 & 22

December 15, 23, & 24
Sell Uhuru Pies at pop-up pie tables outside of
cafes and markets in Oakland and Berkeley
8 am to 4 pm
