Seeking dedicated people who want to become active, Advisory board members of 4 My Destiny Community Arts Center Inc. There will be mandatory meetings to attend once a quarter. (There could possibly be brief meetings somewhere in between our regular 'once a quarter meetings' in the event that something comes up where we have to have a brief meeting) Time, Talent and Treasure is needed in order to make a positive impact on the organization and the community. Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. Provide Foresight, Oversight, and Insight. As stewards of the nonprofits, your role does also involve fundraising and/or participating in fundraising efforts/events. Etc.
If your a member of a Fraternity, Sorority, a Government or Corporation employee, Business Owner, Attorney, etc. We'd Love for you to apply for this position. Seeking those from all walks of Life.

  1. Duty of Care: Take care of the nonprofit by ensuring prudent use of all assets, including facility, people, and good will;
  2. Duty of Loyalty: Ensure that the nonprofit's activities and transactions are, first and foremost, advancing its mission; Recognize and disclose conflicts of interest; Make decisions that are in the best interest of the nonprofit corporation; not in the best interest of the individual board member (or any other individual or for-profit entity).
  3. Duty of Obedience: Ensure that the nonprofit obeys applicable laws and regulations; follows its own bylaws; and that the nonprofit adheres to its stated corporate purposes/mission. Board members have an important role as advocates to help advance nonprofit missions.

To inspire, educate, engage and reach At-risk youth, young adults and their families in underserved communities through performing arts and to provide life skills training, mentoring services, job training and educational programs, etc. To develop and/or strengthen the positive bonds of youth to their families, schools, and communities.

This organization provides; Mentoring Programs, Life Coaching, Counseling, Bullying Prevention programs, Volunteer opportunities, Back to school Drives, Food Distribution to needy families, various workshops, seminars, community events, dance, music, TV/Film, Acting classes, provide resources for those with mental health issues, info for those who want to enroll in college, scholarship info, provide info on obtaining a GED, pregnancy counseling/resources, provides birth control info, disease prevention
info, drug/alcohol counseling/resources, suicide/crisis center info/resources, re-entry programs/resources, info on
Health & Wellness, etc.
