Outside2Inside (O2I) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on reducing food waste through prevention, recovery and recycle through various creative programs.Every year, the United States is wasting approximately 40% of the food we produce. Meanwhile 42 million Americans are still "food insecure". If our country recovered just 30% of what we’re wasting and provide it to people in need, domestic hunger would be eliminated! Outside2Inside is focused on reducing food waste through prevention, recovery and recycle though various creative programs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an organized, self-motivated PMO Manager to join our growing organization. In this position, we are looking for an innovative and established professional to provide leadership, vision and direction in conjunction with the Executive Director, to all the program and project managers & their staff.

  • Responsible for tools, standards and methodology (project templates).
  • Should provide advice, guidance, monitoring, assurance, governance, advocacy, and education with respect to all O2I projects, programs and their delivery to executive, program and project manager and staff at all levels.
  • Mentoring program and project managers.
  • Training program and project managers & their team on tools.
  • Develop methodology and policies to handle external suppliers (Supplier Management).
  • Develop methodology and policies to handle stakeholders (Stakeholder management).
  • Facilitate change control (Change Control Management).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify and benchmark project management tools (Asana, ProjectManager, Wrike).
  • Identify and benchmark team communication tools (Slack, Fleep, Workplace, Fuse).
  • Identify and benchmark project scheduling tools (MS project, Float, Gantt Project).
  • Identify and benchmark cost or budget management tool.
  • Identify and benchmark dashboard/reporting tools.
  • Identify standard project templates.
  • Train Program and Project Managers & their team on the standardized tool identified and give a demo of each tool.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing experienced people for at least 8+ years.
  • Work history and a commitment to developing effective organizational systems for managing programs, staff, budgets and work-plans.
  • Previous experience working or leading with non-profits programs is preferred but not needed.
  • Previous experience with non-profit fundraising is preferred but not needed.
  • Interested in our food waste reduction awareness programs and community support programs.
  • Generally interested, passionate, patient individual who is open to exploring new areas.

PREFERRED SKILLS: The successful candidate will lead all program and project managers. Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills are essential.

  • Proficient in one or more project management, communication tool.
  • Knowledge and experience of best practice project management methodologies and techniques to provide sound advice and support to Project Managers and Sponsors.
  • Ensuring appropriate quality assurance and risk management processes and policies are in place and operating effectively.
  • Ability to influence others to manage their projects in accordance with project management best practice and meeting Council guidelines and processes.
  • Ability to operate in an environment of uncertainty and incomplete information and make well-reasoned decisions.
  • Ability to foresee and avoid problems before they occur wherever possible.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately report on project progress and outcomes to Council and steering groups.
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of complex projects and situations across all areas of the organization Drive, energy and determination to move a project forward.
  • Managing financial, capital and human resources in accordance with best practice and the organization’s policies, procedures and delegations.
  • Proactively and assertively managing resources external to the immediate program to ensure the needs of the projects are met.
  • Working with others to build a matrix, project management framework and capability for the Council to help best achieve its broader outcomes.
  • Software - Microsoft Office and Project Management Software.

Creating awareness about food waste, its impact on the environment and ways to prevent it by bringing knowledge to your doorsteps through local schools and community partnerships for a better tomorrow. 2. Reducing hunger by recovering ugly produce at low cost and sharing with the needy, underprivileged people in Santa Clara county. 3. Provide a clean, pollution-free environment by recycling food waste into organic compost at densely populated urban households and reducing landfills. 4. Provide low-cost animal care in local farms by recycling food waste into animal feed reducing wastage of resources.

Outside2Inside is a non-profit organization focused on reducing food waste through prevention, recovery and recycle though various creative programs.

We prevent food waste through awareness programs, bringing food waste realization among the community, corporates and youth/kids.

Our Food recovery programs like Farm2School, Farm2Restaurant, and Farm2Work recovers the unattractive but otherwise nutritious produce from local farms and serve the deprived, needy in our society.

Our recycle program converts food waste into organic compost and animal feed serving urban households & local farms.

Outside2Inside is formed by a group of spirited individuals with the aim to reduce waste, hunger and create a clean, peaceful, healthy environment. This organization is based in Bay area.
