HomePlate Youth Services support the positive development of young people experiencing homelessness or housing instabiltiy. One way we do this is through youth employment support.
The Youth Employment Program helps youth to reach their employment goals by a variety of methods, including internal training programs and consultation during drop-in services. This position would assist the Employment Coordinator with keeping our available information up to date, and would also assist in the collection and data input of old paper files for statistical purposes. This position would work only with the Employment Coordinator, and would require no interaction with the youth.
HomePlate is seeking an office volunteer for our Youth Employment program to come every Friday for one hour.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Do job searches for available positions and training opportunities in Washington County.
- Keep the Jobs Binder, which contains available positions and training opportunities, up to date.
- Perform data entry for past paper files into spreadsheet system.
- Other duties related to statistical input and analysis.
Skills & Experience Required
- Detail-oriented
- Must like tedious tasks
Minimum Age : 18
Schedule and Commitment Length
One hour every Friday for 6 months. Shifts and schedules can be flexible with appropriate communication.
