Southwest Community Ministries Meals on Wheels program is in need of friendly and dependable volunteers who are looking to make a difference in the lives of home bound seniors in their communities. The more volunteers who give their time, the more seniors in need receive hot, nutritious meals. Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers deliver hot or frozen meals to seniors to anticipate the healthy lunch and comforting smell of a volunteer each delivery day. Delivery routes are available Monday through Friday in each route only takes about an hour to complete. In the short time, volunteers can help to ensure that these home bound seniors stay safe, healthy, and happy in their own homes. Deliver once a week, once a month or as your schedule allows. We have morning and afternoon routes with the morning route starting around 9:45 AM in the afternoon route starting around 2:45 PM. You might be the only visitor meals on wheels clients see each day and your contact with them is so important for their spirit and well-being!
