Community Based Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
El Paso County, Colorado
Community Based Mentoring: Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) to be that child's mentor, positive role model, and friend. Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same kiddo two to four times each month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the match relationship, providing advice, counsel and assistance.
Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to pass a background check.
This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is best and most known for.
Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters Pikes Peak is in need of men to volunteer as Big Brothers. We receive a great deal of applications and referrals for kiddos to enroll as Little Brothers with the hope of being matched with a Big. Please consider volunteering today! Also, please spread the word!
We are hosting a volunteer orientation on Wednesday, April 25th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm at our downtown offices in the Plaza of the Rockies (Colorado Springs). If you are interested in attending, either respond to this posting or e-mail us at: kristiand@biglittlecolorado.org
