Volunteering at Camp Greene Wood is the perfect way to experience firsthand how a girl develops friendships, learns new skills, and gains independence!
We have volunteer opportunities for
- Transportation Chaperones
- Camp Unit Volunteers
- Office work
- Help with crafts
- Meal Prep
Camp Dates at Camp Greene Wood in Woodridge, IL
- June 11-15, June 18-22, June 25-29, July 9-13, July 23-27, July 30-Aug 3
Requirements
- All volunteers must be 18 years of age and older.
- A conversation with the Camp Director is required for approval to this position
- Must commit to volunteering one entire week
- Training will be provided
- Following the informal interview, volunteers in this role are required to register as members of Girl Scouts ($25/year), and complete a criminal background check. Both are done on-line.
- No prior Girl Scout knowledge needed.
- Outdoor and/or camp experience is helpful but not a requirement.
