Ever wonder what it’s like to be a "citizen" of Ohio Village? Volunteer at our "Independence Day" event and help visitors enjoy an afternoon of old-fashioned family activities celebrating our nation's independence. There will be an 1890's style parade, vintage base ball, music, dancing and more. All of this, while dressed in period costume! All these positions require wearing 19th century costuming provided by the organization or may wear their volunteer t-shirt.
Roles:
Tricycle coverage
Gatehouse coverage
Car assistants
Games on the green
Ice cream making
And Miscellaneous roles
*Roles will be assigned prior to event.
Skills Required:
No experience needed, but volunteer must be comfortable with talking to people and learning necessary information quickly. Must be comfortable with both adults and children. Must be able to read back ground information and instructions.
Time Commitment:
Sunday, July 1, 2018
10:00 am-5 pm
Work Environment:
Games on the Green is an outdoor activity. (If inclement weather this activity may be cancelled. Other roles are inside buildings. All positions require wearing 19th century costuming.
Physical Demands:
Games on the greens require mobility and ability to demonstrate activity
Requires some bending and lifting (not over 20 lb). Must wear food service gloves.
Training:
Brief meeting before event. Additional information will also be emailed prior to event
Age Requirement:
12-13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
14 and up
