Our Event Experience volunteers play a critical role in ensuring the success of PurpleStride through creating an engaging experience that the community will embrace and choose to return year after year. PurpleStride is the walk to end pancreatic cancer and is among the largest sources of funding for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) while raising awareness and creating a community among those affected by this disease.

We'll guide you along the way with what we've done in the past and use your creative ideas to make the event even better in our 10th year!

Collaborate with other PurpleStride planning committee chairs to develop the event experience (the fun stuff!) plan including entertainment, ceremonies, recognition and activities. including:

- Ceremony speakers & participants - help with finding a guest speaker for event day and deciding on other elements in the ceremony script
- Creating fun elements for the Purple Play Kids Zone
- Partner with the Teams Chair to offer fun ideas for top team decorations/giveaways and recognizing Grand Club (those that raise over $1000) members
- Help securing the photographer, face painter and balloon artist for event day
- Helping at the stage on event day and making sure speakers, PurpleStride team and other guests are ready to go on stage at the right time
- Offer your ideas on how we can make our 10th year extra special

PurpleStride Sacramento 2020 is Saturday, November 14th at William Land Park and we anticipate over 1,200 participants this year! See our event site at purplestride.org/sacramento for details. Please contact us with any questions and we'd be happy to tell you more!
