Fresh Food Fridays is free fresh produce for families who need it. We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate people to volunteer with us every other Fridays to help with the smooth running of events.
Our Oct 12th event will be the last Fresh Food Friday of the year! We typically distribute fresh produce to more than 100 families (500+ individuals) during each event and need help in getting the food to community members in need.
A schedule of how the event runs (12pm-3pm):
12:00pm - Volunteers arrive for orientation and assignment
1:00pm - Start distribution of food
2:30pm - Start cleaning up
3:00pm - End
Tasks:
friendly to customers
record intake
bag produce
transport/move tables or produce
help customers carry produce to cars
set up/clean up
other tasks as needed
