The Central Library's Recharge at Your Library program offers members of our community who are currently experiencing homelessness a safe place to relax, recharge electronic devices, enjoy a beverage, movie or craft and most importantly, a place where they know they are welcome.

The Recharge at Your Library is offered at the Central Library, 828 I Street, Sacramento 95814
Once a week on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

We're seeking volunteers who will help set up and clean up the room; ensure the materials for the movie, music or craft for the day are ready to go. The volunteer will prepare and offer beverages during the program and will engage as appropriate with program attendees.

If you are:

  • Over 21
  • Comfortable interacting with a diverse group of people
  • Are sensitive and non-judgmental
  • Interested in being a part of a program that is dedicated to creating a welcoming place for men and women who are experiencing homeless
