Caley Bike Camp
Rider and Volunteers encouraging and assisting!

The Orange County Bike Camp 2018 is a collaborative project between the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County (DSAOC) and UCP of Orange County (UCP-OC). iCan Shine is a non-profit organization that teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle utilizing adaptive bike riding techniques the IcanBike Program. Volunteers will walk/jog/run alongside a rider as they are learning to ride a bike during a 75-minute session (with short breaks) for 5 days Monday through Friday. You will provide encouragement and physical support, as needed. You may volunteer for up to three sessions a day. Times are as follows Session 1 8:30 am - 9:45 am | Session 2 10:05 am - 11:20 am |Session 3 11:40 pm - 12:55 pm
Session 4 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm | Session 5 3:35 pm - 4:50 pm.

We provide opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential. We also collaborate with other organizations supporting individuals with disabilities, engaging in community outreach, and providing public and professional education. We sponsor seminars and workshops, host educational and social events, and support new parents and prenatal diagnosis parents through our Parent-Mentoring program.

Since 1978, DSAOC has built upon the proud tradition of helping people with Down syndrime reach their full potential with the support the the community. Currently serving more than 2,000 families in and around Orange County, DSAOC offer a wide variety of educational and support resources.
