The Hyde Park Blast depends on the dedication and commitment of many volunteers during the year-long planning process, not just on event day! The Blast's Curb Crew is an amazing group of volunteers who have lots of opportunities to help and to wear the most unique volunteer "uniforms" in Cincinnati! Groups of volunteers are encouraged to sign up together to handle specific areas, or as individuals who want to work where they are needed the most!
Help is need handing out bibs and t-shirts to runners. All we need is a willingness to help and a bright happy smile!

After the national attention brought to The Cure Starts Now by Lauren Hill, we are determined to continue her legacy through our research funded and events produced. At The Cure Starts Now we believe that finding the cure for all cancers lies within finding the cure for one of the most elusive cancers, pediatric brain cancer. After the national attention brought to The Cure Starts Now by Lauren Hill, we are determined to continue her legacy through our research funded and events produced.
There are many more children and many more stories. All of which make our mission so important and are the reason why we must proceed in a unified effort to cure cancer. Each child represents a life, an opportunity, and a chance. They are part of our soul, our mission and their pictures grace our web site. We are not a foundation from one child, instead we are a mission of many. This is why The Cure Starts Now Foundation fights for the cure for other children with brain stem glioma and cancer survivors everywhere. Our mission has received the attention of the local and international press. Our fundraising efforts have come from over 43 locations worldwide and countless fundraisers spanning the globe with additional families joining our mission daily. What started with just one child now becomes the mission of people nationwide. To date The Cure Starts Now has funded more than $12 million dollars in cutting edge research.
The cure for cancer is just as important as it is elusive. We can cure cancer one-by-one or we can focus on THE cure which we believe will come from a cure for pediatric brain cancers. The fight begins today and the cure starts now.
