Family Eldercare's Lifetime Connections Without Walls is a virtual activities program for older adults across the country. We offer social and educational sessions by phone and video.

This volunteer opportunity involves making phone calls to remind participants about the sessions they register for. This courtesy phone call can make all the difference. It not only reminds them about their sessions, but it's also an opportunity for them to interact with a friendly voice.

The time commitment is up to you, depending on how many sessions you'd like to make reminder calls for. Calls take about one hour per session.

While this volunteer opportunity is virtual, you must live in the U.S. Phone, computer, and internet connection is required, along with a positive attitude and fun energy that transfers well over the phone to older adults. Training and ongoing support provided.

Description

Family Eldercare is a nonprofit agency that has been providing services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers in the Austin, Texas area since 1982. Programs and services include: housing and stability, in-home counseling, guardianship, virtual activities for isolated older adults, service coordination, and our annual summer fan drive.
