Heart Clinic Concierges
Missing just one pre- or post-operative appointment can delay a critical heart surgery or important follow-up care. Heart Clinic Concierges accompany patients throughout the hospital ensuring they visit all required departments for tests or services, and transport patients in wheelchairs between departments, when needed. These volunteers must be patient-focused, providing both comfort and esceptional customer service skills.
This position requires the volunteer to have the ability to push wheelchairs with up to 200 lbs of weight; volunteers do not lift or carry patients. The volunteer provides services throughout the hospital, reporting to staff in the Medical Office Plaza. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
