ORGANIZATION: Family Eldercare

Lifetime Connections Without Walls (LCWW) is looking for virtual volunteers to facilitate telephone classes for our Summer Calendar (7/9/18-10/5/18). LCWW is a telephone-based socialization program that provides homebound or isolated older adults the opportunity to connect, learn, and have fun with others all from the comfort of their own home using their personal telephone.

Volunteering is done over the phone and computer and can be done anywhere. All you need is a smile, an internet connection, and a desire to work with others! Volunteer application and a background check required. Training will take place onsite at Family Eldercare's office in Austin, Texas or by skype.

We are currently looking for a volunteer to host a Storytelling Hour class. The volunteer will oversee finding appropriate topics to prompt and encourage our participants to share a story (real or fiction) to entertain the group. Responsibilities also include facilitating the call and updating volunteer database with notes. Volunteer commitment is an hour a month for the 3-month session. Training and support provided.
