The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a hiking experience for blind and visually impaired athletes in Portland, OR on May 13th from 12:00pm-2:00pm. The hike will take place at the Pittock Mansion, we will be following the Wildwood trail for about 3 miles total. We are looking for volunteers to assist in guiding our athletes through the hike. Volunteers should be experienced hikers, but do not need to have previous experience working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
