Who loves happy little trees?! You do? Volunteer with our Heartland Tree Alliance program to plant riparian seedlings near Shoal Creek (north of the river) in Kansas City, Missouri. Riparian areas are the interface between land and a river or stream. These areas are significant in environmental management because of their role in soil conservation, habitat biodiversity and the influence they have on fauna and aquatic ecosystems.
This event was originally scheduled last week, but was cancelled due to rain. Help us get these seedlings in the ground before they break dormancy!
No prior tree planting experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details, including a map to the meeting location. NOTE: Address listed is for mapping the general vicinity of the workday. After you sign up, you will receive an auto-email with a special link to the meeting location.
If you have a group or questions: contact Sarah Crowder 816- 561-1086 or email sarah.crowder@bridgingthegap.org.
We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
