Eco-Cycle is excited to team up with the city of Longmont to go for Zero Waste at its Cinco de Mayo event at Roosevelt Parkin Longmont, CO on Saturday, May 5th! This 16th edition celebrates culture and honors the health of the Longmont community, while featuring various entertainments such as a car show, chihuahua beauty contest, free family activities and plenty of food & shopping opportunities.
After successfully diverting 81% of materials and achieving exemplary volunteer participation, we will be working hard to reach an 85% diversion of the event's waste from the landfill. Our success hinges on volunteers like YOU to help out!
Volunteering at one of Eco-Cycle's events is fun and easy. You'll be one of our Zero Waste Station "Goalies," making sure that event-goers put all their waste in the right place. Volunteers will be provided with light snacks and breaks to go grab food from the event's vendors.
To volunteer for Zero Waste at Cinco de Mayo, please contact Karen from Longmont's Cinco de Mayo Team (karen.moreno@longmontcolorado.gov) who will provide you with additional information on the slots' length and time.
